Pizza billboard stating "Fat people are harder to kidnap" removed after complaints.

Jeremy Clemetson owns a franchise location of East of Chicago Pizza in Barberton, Ohio. Jeremy likes a good joke, and has incorporated humour into the adv billboards that advertise his pizza shop. He's used lines such as "If it's not there in 30 minutes, move closer", "Free box with every pizza", and "You will never have abs so order pizza."'

Clemetson says putting up tongue-in-cheek signage has become his trademark, but he doesn't have a big agency that helps him with the headlines.

“We’ve had, ‘Legalize marinara’, ‘Our pizza is deep as potholes’, ‘Free box with every pizza.’”

Clemetson says he never meant to offend anyone.

“I was more just trying to be funny. I actually had it on my sign out front for three weeks and nobody said anything except funny things about it.”

This time, however, some customer was furious and reported Clemetson's shop to the restaurant's corporate headquarters. It's about timing. January is national human trafficking awareness month. Clemetson says that never even crossed his mind.

“Once I found out, you know, I have seven kids myself. That it was more sensitive to people because of the kidnapping aspect we actually took it down today.”
