Mcdonald's Australia brings back the American jingle: "Two all-beef patties, special sauce, lettuce...."

In Australia, DDB Sydney is running a campaign that brings back the classic Big Mac song, "Two all-beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, onions on a sesame seed bun."

The song was originally created by Keith Reinhard and his team in the 1970s at Needham Harper & Steers, and you may recall seeing it in the Super Bowl ad in the year 1975 in Adland's archives here: McDonald's - Big Mac - (1975) 0:60 (USA)

This brand new, but expertly retro-styled TV spot, directed by Leilani Croucher from Revolver, shows people from different decades struggling a bit with the song before finally getting it right. It's "lettuce, cheese, pickles", in that order, everyone.

To keep the jingle going, these billboards reinforce it by showing either all of the phrase, or just parts of it. Either one can trigger the jingle in your head. "Two all-beef patties!"
