Odds & Ends: JoeLaPompe does interview, @Irene gives up her twitter, Lars og Helle no longer discussing politics

It's hilarious when you interview the badlanding Ninja behind Joelapompe.net. He won't show his face. We did our little chat with him while in Cannes 2009. In this fresh (French) JoeLaPompe interview from Paris Joe is wearing a full balaclava. Way to keep up the Ninja-tude, dude.

When Irene met @Irene lets us in on the background of what happened with the twitter-handle @Irene when Irene hit the US east coast. Irene works at digital-media firm Huge Inc, and her co-workers took over her account to tweet informations about the storm. Nice.

In Denmark, @jonasjuhler has been amusing himself (and many others) with making 'photo comics' called "Lars and Helle discuss politics". That would be Helle Thorning-Schmidt and Lars Løkke Rasmussen, the current Prime Minister of Denmark and the leader of the Social Democrats respectively. It was all fun and games until DR sent this cease and desist letter stating he was using "trademarked logos and screendumps from DR". Funny twist though, Google DR and the Danish word "skærmdump" (screendump) and you'll find that DR has a very bad habit of taking screendumps all over the place, and using them as image sources. Jonas removed the DR logofied screendumps, and sent a really sarcastic response.

Samsung cites Stanley Kubrick's '2001: A Space Odyssey' movie as prior art against iPad design patent. Seriously, now screendumps from cool movies are being used as defense strategy in legal proceedings. Kubrick would like this.
