KAYAK infiltrates "the elites" by allowing you to find travel deals in silly new campaign

Agency Supernatural has some fun conspiracy theories, and how expensive travel has gotten.

An amusing campaign for a travel site, created by agency Supernatural, features a group of "elites" who control the world and have made travel expensive to ensure they can enjoy vacation spots without the general public. These elites are not human, but rather look like deranged dolphins or something, and behave like buffons. However, it turns out that ordinary people can still enjoy these elite resorts thanks to Kayak, which helps them find great deals to stay there too.

The spots, directed by Tom Kuntz with animation by Legacy Effects, are being broadcasted both on TV and social media.

"Travel can be expensive, but there are still deals to be found, especially if you know some hacks," said Matt Clarke, VP of NA Marketing at Kayak. "Our goal with these latest ads was to address the expensive stigma of travel head-on while showcasing the fact that you can still travel by getting great deals through Kayak."

In addition, there is a second set of commercials, also directed by Kuntz, that shows people in mundane settings at home who suddenly believe they are rich because their partners suggest a vacation that sounds expensive.

This set of ads follow the same setup, someone says "Iv'e booked my trip to (wherever)" and the other party responds, "In this economy? Point being that Kayak saves you money. It gets weird when the other party doesn't think of that, but instead believes their rich. What would you do if were rich?
