IKEA in the Middle East

IKEA is a Swedish company registered in Sweden that designs and sells ready-to-assemble furniture, appliances and home accessories. As of January 2008, the company is the world's largest furniture retailer. That comes with its own set of challenges, more so in the domain of collaboration between cities of teams in one of the largest Middle Eastern markets.

Given that Yammer hosts data on its own servers and cannot integrate with IKEA's external systems, they reached out to Ephlux to create a social network as a regional collaboration tool. The app allows co-workers of IKEA Riyadh, IKEA Jeddah, IKEA Dhahran and any future IKEA stores to gather at one platform where they are able to constructively collaborate and augment user experiences.
