Alt-J - The Hunger of the Pine - (2014) music video

In this stunning but haunting, and at some points even physically uncomfortable to watch, video a man runs through the forest as a rain of arrows chase him down. And pierce right through him. And he just keeps running.
Is it Saint Sebastian's martyrdom, a metaphor for creative ideas or a metaphor for life itself? Or is it just a great excuse to call Wild Rabbit Productions for some drone shots and make people uncomfortable? Alt-J seem to like to make violent and disturbing videos that can be interpreted in many ways. I'll confess, I love their music and will get the album "This is all yours" (itunes) after I've streamed it live on the TIAY app available on google play which is how they'll release the album at first. That band is tight, yo. I won't however, watch this video again. Because *shudder*.
