Tool of North America has added director Leigh Marling to its roaster.

Tool of North America today announced that it has signed live action director Leigh Marling to its roster.

Marling is the latest artist to join the integrated production company’s diversified, visionary roster of live action and integrated directors. Curated by Oliver Fuselier, Managing Partner, Live Action, the directors on Tool’s roster consistently deliver brilliant and cutting edge work that continues to fuel Tool’s 21-year legacy of creating groundbreaking and award-winning entertainment for clients.

A prolific storyteller, Marling’s television work for brands including Pizza Hut, Smirnoff, Snickers, T-Mobile and Wrigley’s built his reputation for smart humor and inventive storytelling and design, winning him various awards including Cannes Lions, The One Show Silver and Bronze Pencils, ADDYs and Clios. His recent directorial credits include: Nissan: “Conquer” (2014), Crea: “Look it Up” (2013), Bacardi: “Our History is Unbelievable” (2013), Nescafe: “Reminders” (2013), Comcast: “Clown” (2012), Target: “Workout” (2012), Lego: “Brick Thief” (2011), Living Social: “Changed My Life” (2011), Verizon: “Test Flight” (2011), and Hyundai: “Hybrid: Live Smart” (2010). Marling has also co-directed music videos for Fatboy Slim, New Order and Dirty Vegas, and accolades for his work include a MTV Europe Best Music Video Award for co-directing The Avalanches’ single “Since I Left You” and a Grammy nomination for Best Music Video for Days Go By by Dirty Vegas.

Previously, Marling founded London-based design agency Blue Source, where he served as creative director and created acclaimed artwork for artists and brands before moving to Los Angeles and establishing himself as a solo director.
