What: "The One Club Creative Hall of Fame: An Exhibition of the 2007 Inductees Phil Dusenberry, Tim Delaney and Paul Rand"
When: October 16, 2007 6:00 pm-8:00 pm
Light refreshments will be served
Where: The One Club Gallery, 21 East 26th Street, 5th Floor, New York City
Why: For the opening of the 2007 Creative Hall of Fame Exhibition a portion of the gallery will be transformed into the quintessential American living room in recognition of its importance in the collective viewing experience of the work of ad icon Phil Dusenberry best known for Gillette's "The Best a Man Can Get" and, of course, the all-singing, all-dancing Pepsi "Choice of a New Generation" spot starring Michael Jackson. Legendary graphic designer Paul Rand's (1914-1996) powerful and distinctive imagery for such recognizable brands as IBM, UPS and ABC will be on display for the first time in the U.S. in over a decade. Be mentally whisked across the pond for an instructive visit to copywriting genius Tim Delaney of London based agency Leagas Delaney where he turns out the kind of elegant ads for Harrods, Timberland and Adidas that have transformed British retail. Their work will be on display to the public as part of a rare, three week exhibition honoring their induction into The One Club's Creative Hall of Fame.
