AR Olympic Navigator to get you juiced for the Olympics

ARworks has launched the GPS based, Augmented Reality Olympic Navigator, a new channel of the free Junaio AR browser (which you need to download first). With the app, depending on their choice, users can see the cities of the previous Olympic games or the exact venues of the 2012 London Olympics around them on the live picture of their smartphone.

Start the app, choose the content, raise your phone, turn around and you will see the date of all 26 games from the past (Athens, Stockholm, SIdney, etc) with the distance and direction of the cities from your actual standpoint. By clicking the floating icon of the city, you can read the number of sports and participants--and if you need even more information, you can click the open web menu to see the wikipedia page of the selected Olympic.

If you're in London or actually in the Olympic Park just select the London menu point, and check the exact locations of the event on your phone. Finally, from May you can even follow the road of the travelling Olympic Flame around the UK on your smartphone.
