Animation artists from around the world remember 9/11 in short films

Aniboom Virtual Studio, partnered with leading Communication Artist Gideon Amichay to honor the upcoming 10th anniversary of 9/11 by bringing together animators from all over the world. Amichay envisioned that each participant would create a ten-second animation inspired by the title: 9/11. It’s been ten years. To see all the clips, which vary greatly in mood and style, head over to Aniboom's youtube channel and browser from there.

Uri Shinar, Aniboom's CEO, made the following statement, "Although it's been 10 years, I believe that this impressive body of work, created by independent artists from all over the world, shows that this tragic event is still very much alive in our collective minds and hearts. And for me, that's exactly what this project is all about."

Gideon Amichay, the creator of the project, said, "We invited animation artists from 30 countries to take part in commemorating the 10th anniversary of 9/11. I believe that the grief is cosmopolitan. I felt that I must create something and share it with artists and people from all over the world. I collaborated with Aniboom, the virtual animation studio, which shares my vision."

This is a not-for-profit effort. Any proceeds generated by screenings on television or other media will be donated to the Twin Towers Orphan Fund and the Tuesday’s Children Organization.
