NBA - Jerseys (2007) 0:30 (USA)

In his latest spot, "Jerseys", Biscuit’s Aaron Ruell recaps the life of Seattle Sonics player Kevin Durant. This spot was shot on steadicam in two parts and The Mill did some work to make it feel like it’s one continuous shot.

The spot shows Seattle rookie Kevin Durant heading from the locker room to the court before a game. As he strolls to a jazzy beat and approaches the roar of the crowd, he strips off a seemingly endless series of jerseys (there are six in all). The jerseys wordlessly tell the story of Durant’s rise to the NBA. Those skills don’t come from nowhere, and the clothing symbolizes the stages in his life as a basketball phenom—starting out with the Capitol Heights Boys and Girls Club though his high school, college and pro careers. The tagline is amended to "Where wearing the dream happens." That goes both for Durant and those of us watching the trip.
