Advertising on Adland? Doing buisiness with Adland etc.

in

Advertising, ironically we hate ads on websites and thus don't do the usual flashy banners, pop-ups, link-exchange rubbish. Thus, we do not have a banner system in place so if you email to ask how much our banner ads cost, or how many views they get, you're asking the wrong question.

Press information (if you want to know more about us behind Adland)

We have collected as many press mention that we could find in our very own scrap book press clippings here.
The people behind the site are;

Who posts here?

in

You do! Any logged in super adgrunt can post a front page news article, and regular adgrunts can post in the forums. That's been the idea since we built this community-blog in 2000, all adgrunts can contribute. Post, vote, comment, rate, tag, play and frolic in the forums where discussions are more relaxed. Make friends and enemies.

Short history of Adland

in

Adland is the Mecca for adgrunts worldwide. It's an advertising site made by the adgrunts, like you, who populate it. More than just a blog (see a short history of weblogs), Adland is also a commercial archive, forum and general gathering place for Adgrunts. Back in 1996 it began it's life as a humble website in Geocities SoHo hood (remember them?) and in 2000 it evolved into what you see today - with Adgrunt user accounts, RSS feeds, forums and dated entries.

What is Adland the Commercial Archive? What is an Ad-rag? What is an adgrunt? Where do I adrant?

in

After surfing the web in 95 and finding Zeldman's ad graveyard, Dabitch got inspired to create her own corner of the web - and AdLand was born. The first Badland ads ended up on the same corner of her wee non-interactive webpage where she ad ranted and ad raved - the original concept was to compare ads similar to each other. It had a basic guestbook and she got a lot of email from other adgrunts around the planet. A lot.
