Hmm... Wasn't that a Warren Zevon song?

After recieving a few humourless complaints, it seems that the Advertising Standards Authority for Ireland decided yesterday to ban a Guinness commercial that's been running since May. Boy, that half year delay's really gonna protect the citizenry, eh? It's such a shame. I really loved this ad, it is one of my favorite Guinness ads. It's in the top five, along with "a generation returns" (Guinness Ireland) - "we have all the time in the world" (Guinness UK 1994/5) which literally made me cry when I first saw it, and of course, the Guinness ad with the Leftfield soundtrack (Surfer).
