Canadian election ads
We are just days into the start of a federal election campaign here in Canada, and the first of the expected political ads have arrived in my mailbox. The first one was from the Prime Minister asking who could be trusted to keep taxes low. The major party leaders photos were shown with a checkbox next to each photo. I was asked to "...check one" with an arrow conveniently directing me to the P.M's. photo. A return envelope was provide to mail (no postage required) back to the P.M.. That was asking for it.
I crossed out "...check one" and wrote, "None of the listed". I then wrote, "A politician and a con-artist are no different insofar as neither earns an honest living". Into the mailbox the card went with my name, address, phone number, and email address properly filled out. No reply.
Perhaps I can get some of the ads I receive scaned and post them here.
