Viral? Personally, I wouldn't forward this on. Not an iPhone killer commercial.
On the YouTube version page there are some particularly acerbic comments - no, before you ask, I didn't write any! I was on a day off. :)
My favourite: "No amount of wacky bearded twats will make me buy one of your shit phones. f*ck. that."
In the press release that was sent over with this, they just called it a viral - which is why I changed it to "intended viral"...I refuse to propagate the idea that anything is viral if a company or agency says it is. ;)
Once, in some down time, I was thinking of ways to say to a client it'll be viral without using the offending V word.
The solution: tell them it has 'inbox potential'. They'll love it.
I now find myself coming up with a variety of nonsense ad-speak that can be used in meetings and then try and shoe horn it in at a given point. Kind of like a competition with myself.
I'm sure I'm not the only one. And, if you can use inbox potential a lot, I'd appreciate it, as I'll be seen to have coined a phrase. Probably :)
The new version of buzzword Bingo: inventing adspeak.
I thought the "viral" (web ads only) topic was for the "intended virals"?
(maybe i should rethink that topic/tag. It was an old one seemed to work back in 2k)
