Looking for an anti-smoking commercial.
A beautiful model smoking a cigarette. A drop of black tar forms on her forehead. Then more...& more. The announcer says "Imagine if smoking did to your outside what it does to your inside." She looks at the camera and screams.
I think it was the first Great American Smokeout commercial from 30+ years ago.
My wife saw it on the CNN morning show with Ali Velchi about a year ago commemorating GASO.
From thirty years ago? That's a pretty advanced anti-smoking ad from that era.
CNN said it was the first GASO ad. I saw it more than 20 years ago for sure. I too was amazed by 30 years but I'm quite sure (grin) that CNN stated that's when GASO started.
