Oh, I beg your pardon. Wrong question.
How do I stop from being sent an email notification of every reply to a thread or post I have commented on? I have selected, 'disabled' for each option I thought might turn this off (as in the FAQ), but alas, I still get 'spammed' with these notifications. It automatically subscribes me to every thread I post a comment to. I don't want it to do that.
I want a clean cup. Let's all move one place on.

If you go to plain old "edit" in your account you'll see something like this:
It's that last one that you want to make sure the radio-button isn't checked in. I took the liberty and un-autosubscribed you.
I didn't know that I could receive buddy notification emails. Then again, I don't think anyne is buddying me. Why do that?
To keep track of people who's postings/comments/taste in films that you like. :) Or just to keep track of buddies.

I had 40 messages telling me of the replies to think thread! Ugh! It does that every so often.

Want to get rid of some truly annoying quirks around here, and people still don't read that FAQ (hahaha) so, expect sudden rehaul of look soon.
My only niggle is... where's the list of ad categories? If I look really hard, I can stumble on a sort of topic-cloud of them. But where's a straightforward list?
yeah that cloud of topics really bugs me too.

Why is it that when I log in, it tells me I have too many sessions and I have to disconnect from one?
I'll fix that.
Still having problems with that, "too many sessions" thing. I only log in from one computer. It's a little annoying, but it's no big deal. It doesn't need to be fixed right away. Go play with your daughter for a while, spend some time with your spouse. I'll still be here when you get back. ;)
How many do you have? You're allowed three 'permanet sessions' at a time. Kill some old ones. (never mind, I killed some of you old ones)

You've understood the sessions thing perfectly kamari, that's it. It counts how many computers (and browsers) that you have a persistent login set up in. I allowed for the typical work/home situation, or the also typical IE/Firefox or FF/Safari thing. I forget that most people also have laptops (and perhaps three browsers they use), so having three persistent logins wouldn't be crazy weird. I've upped the number of allowed persistent logins.
The only reason I wanted to put a limit to them was to allow users to clean out persistent logins left in there by mistake. Like if you used the girlfriends computer a lot and left yourself logged on, only now you guys broke up and she's running around commenting on all your work that you suck. Ok, maybe that doesn't happen too often, but anyway, didn't want persistent logins leaving users accounts wide open on shared computers such as libraries or internet cafés, say.
What's the, "TDD's invite rank" in my profile? The names change a lot, and have have no idea what it is.
It's just showing those who sent the most invites recently, and since loads of people sent (and had it accepted) one invite, it bops around with those names a lot. When more people have more invites accepted it'll stabilize a little.
