The theme embarrassment in a cubicle-filled office.
Cadbury Thins young women send s racy photo of herself in lingerie, cowboy hat, garter belt etc. to coworker with the caption "Ride *em cowboy?" She hears a ding as it pops up on his monitor. Followed by ding-ding-ding all over the office as everyone else receives it too. Heads pop up from every cubicle. VO "Some things you regret..." And finished with another guy walking by her desk, pausing and saying, "Giddyup."
Carlton Cards A young woman uses the interoffice mail basket to deliver a card to a young man. It*s a Valentine*s card; he smiles as he opens it but it begins to play a loud song. Heads pop up from every cubicle. He closes it quickly. A male coworker walks by his desk, pauses and says something sarcastic (I can never make it out).
These may only be in Canada.
I swear that first post was made by me, not Creatrix, and I posted it after Creatrix's post.
Oh, well. Stranger things have happened....
No you're right, it was. The whole forum is full of posts that made that odd jump, so that the reply-post is the first and credited to the original poster.
Very odd, and I didn't spot it until after I had moved the forums over. Annoying!
I thought it was just a glitch. It's no big deal. :)
Hey! I just realised some of my past of dumb comments might be credited to some other Adgrunt! Cool! Trouble is, I'll probably continue to make dumb comments. Oh, well.
Anyway, Creatrix has only one post, and I can spare one. ;)
Hehehe...
I've found that in the 2003/2004 years some of the comments posted to FPP's (front page posts) have been credited to me (my comment count is way higher than it should be) and I'm currently weeding through them to see who really commented. In most cases it's "anonymous" and for some reason it's been credited to me. This looks really bizarre in threads where I appear to be arguing with myself.
Fixing that. By hand. Gag.
I had this vision of you having all the comments ever made on Adland on paper, and you flipping though stacks of paper checking each comment, and fixing it on the computer.
Hahahaha, no but close enough. I have the old database still, and when I find a discrepancy, I check the old DB to see what was lost in migration. Sadly, a lot more stuff that one would expect. *sigh*
