Since we at adland are working on our yearly roundup, and there are just so many ads to go through, I thought you folks could give a hand since there are so many ads out there that I know I haven*t seen then all.



So what ads do you think were great, crap, underrated, overrated, best direction, best concept, etc?



One in the overrated category I*ve been hearing from many adgrunts is the Bravia Paint spot.



I think I might also give Folgers-Sunshine Morning a nomination in the most drugs taken by creative team while concepting. wink

I definately agree with the paint spot being overrated. Or perhaps expectations were just too high? The sequal usually isn*t as good as the prequal.



In the really, really great category I loved the VW - Short but funny series. Especially Jaws and The Shining made me roll over laughing.

Sadly, they were from 2005, so can*t include them in the 2006 roundup. But they are great.

Is there an Adland list of categories? Or do adgrunts submit their nominations under whichever category they decide?

You just make the categories up as you wish!



I mean there are categories, but there are also ads that just have to be in their own little category. Like most annoying ad of the year, most bizarre ad of the year, worst casting or whatever sticks to your head. Safe to say, if you remember the ad and it caused a lot of hubub, it goes on the list!
