Are festivals still *now*?
I wonder. There*s so many of them.
They all get confused by *other* media and now you can win a Lion for a banner that actually works or a nice moving brochure online.
Almost all bronze lions on the TVC reel were weak. Somemtimes something wins just because it*s *different*, and the other times an idea that won three years in a row again gets awarded (anybody noticed thet the Olympus Campaign that won Gold was a lot like the HP ad that won Silver a year or two before?).
You have to enter, however, to pick up points.
I suggest No festivals. And if, let them all have their own forte. Like a Print festival (i know there*s a new one with great judges, just started), a TV festival, an online festival etc.
