Technology Website - Need Help

I hope I understand your situation well...

The metaphor is the tool of choice for bridging this kind of language gap, and can be expressed in both word or image - even sound. By finding the right system (group of related metaphors) people of mixed backgrounds can all understand the same piece, and communicate with each other.

There are several sites with metaphor examples that you can tap into.

I have recently moved over from a Pizza Franchisor to a Point-of-Sale provider. While the business is similar - Selling products - the level of technical information that needs to be included is unbelievable.

After doing some research and reviewing our brand document it has become clear that we are different then the competition - our R&D was done in a restaurant and not in a computer lab.

I am looking for some help in finding sites that sell technical items to non-technical people.

I understand our imagery and language will reflect the majority of this but at the end of the day a franchisee wants a system that works and does not care about the speed of the drive/processor or the type of touch screen we use

So can some of you fire me links of technical sites for non-technical people this would be great.

Cheers confused

It sounds like you need to hire a copywriter to make your technical manuals non-techie.

Of course, you can try to do it yourself by reading those "....For Dummies" books. They do a good job explaining hard-to-explain things.

We do have a copy writier who is going to do the crafting for us but what I am looking for are sites selling tech related material that are clean and relying on imaging.

Just some examples so I can poke around and show the agency.
