The Duracell Bunny

Wow, I totally missed that it was Duracell...not Energizer! Damn them and their pink bunny.

I think they should make the Energizer bunny have babies. Now that*d be funny...then again it*d be damn annoying too. Scratch that idea.

I just read an article on Duracell disposable batteries (http//www.biosmagazine.co.uk/article.php?id=2823) and noticed the pink bunny with headphones.

What do you suppose Duracell is trying to pull with this one?

Just updating the bunny?

When I first read this I immediately thought of the GRR bunnies. But then I saw it. And .. naaah. They can*t be trying to look like the Grr bunny, are they?

(for future ref if the original link dies like.)

That*s one trippy bunny. It*s *too* happy looking. Makes it rather scary.

>>Just updating the bunny?

Yeah, but its the Energizer Bunny that keeps going and going...

OooooooH! I forget that the Duracell bunny is all out of whack for you folks on the other side of the pond.

Yes, it*s a weird one, as over there the Energizer bunny is the one that keeps going and going and Duracell tried it*s best to beat it with the supah line You can*t top the copper top (immortalized in the Matrix "Listen to me, Copper-top. We don*t have time for twenty questions!")

But over here it*s been going on forever (at least since the early nineties). That bunny thing I mean. The first time I saw it I had just moved back here on this side of the pond from over there on that side of the pond (hehe) and I reacted too - because nothing tops the Energizer bunny. To mix our taglines rather than metaphors.

But them headphones are new. And all "grr".

Another odd you would find here is that "You ain*t never done nuthin* until you do Diet Dew" have the cans all switchd around and "been there, done that doing it tomorrow" is an ad for Pepsi Maxx here in Europe instead. That used to drive me mad, having seen the original dew version.

That is this one;

Diet Mountain Dew - Blase (1994) - 030 (USA)

http//ad-rag.com/9324.php

girl version - also shown over here but for Pepsi. At the end they "kiss the screen" with a red, white and blue lipsticked lip, leaving a smudge that resembles a Pepsi logo.

Mountain Dew - Thank Heaven for Little Girls (1996) - 060 (USA)

http//ad-rag.com/102538.php

Sorry, the boy-Dew one I linked was with the right guys, but wasn*t the "been there, done that, doing it tomorrow" version.

But y*all remember the one I mean right?
