Thanks! That*s not it, but what the heck. I love pin-up art. This one might find its way to my wall. However, I*ll continue my quest. Thanks again!

They didn*t have any of Mel Ramos*s work. They seem to have everyone else.

Growing up in the fifties I remember the picture painted (stenciled?) on the green 7Up bottles. At that time the official slogan was "you like it. It likes you." It was as cryptic then as it would be now. The slogan was accompanied with the image of a woman fairy or swimmer either nude or swim suited surrounded with bubbles that made the slogan all the more alluring and mysterious. Only years later did I learn that the original formula of 7Up contained lithium salts as its major beneficial ingredient. That made me even more confused about the what benefits drinking it would bring you. They entered a market of beverages with claimed medicinal benefits (Coca Cola had cocaine that was later replaced by caffeine. 7Up lacked caffeine. I don*t know if anything replaced the lithium. Dr. Pepper had I don*t know what but was supposed to be consumed three times each day. Some people claim it had a laxative which would definitely promote movement..but three times each day?) I*ve found pictures of bottles and roadside signs with the slogan, but without the image. Does anyone have a similar memory of a lady floating on the bottle?
Well, this isn*t from the *50s and it isn*t even an ad, but it looks close....

Never had it.
Never will.
