I like the way adforum exaggerates the film in the description with "it became the cult film for the brand in Europe".
Oh did it now? It was bland and boring compared to the 1996 one here - http://commercial-archive.com/node/120110 - Paid Piper Revenge. Now that was cult ! Also this ad (the first one) the same year which aired all over Europe all the frickin* time and suggested lesbian threesomes, http://commercial-archive.com/node/119245 "Jealousy".
By the time that elevator ad came along it was tame and predictable in comparison and was barely noted when it aired. However it has had a succesful second life on the web and those "funny ads from around the world" TV programs.
