Homeland Security

I just recently saw an ad on television that advised U.S. families to make emergency plans in the case of a terrorist attack. From what I remember, it featured a young girl asking her parents what she should do if an emergency developed.

For all you ad-experts out there who have seen this ad, what do you think of it? Is it the result of a real concern considering last month*s London bombings? Or is it simply reminding Americans to be ever fearful (arguably a bonus to the current administration)? I*m not trying to spark a political debate, but I am curious as to what you have to say about the ad itself -- it*s wording, tone, etc.

P.S. I ran a quick search and couldn*t find this ad in the archives. Perhaps it*s here and I didn*t find it; or maybe it*s just a new ad.

Weve always been at war with Eurasia

I've been looking everywhere for this ad. Instantly reminded me of the Johnson add, considered one of the worst ever, a little girl pulling petals of a flower fade to nuclear bomb countdown. Bad enough that little girls sell us no load mutual funds and get us worried about financial security, but what a load of govt. propaganda. Just give us a web site or phone number. But why do that when you can give us fear and
guilt (that we don't have a plan for a terrorist attack). Is this their way of prep'ing us for another failure?

If you find a link, please forward. Maybe it got pulled, just like the Johnson add.

Cheers,

War is Peace.
