Breaking into Commercials as a director

Another good example is the Shammasian Brothers. They won a Cannes award with a test commercial this year.

yeah, aim that high with one of your (spec) films on your reel. High as in the Lee and Dan outrageous (great) idea example, high as in the Shammasian Brothers awesomly filmed blind man example. smile

How does one go about getting some commercial work. I done some short films and a few specs (mostly in dv format.) I would like to know
what is the best way to get some commercial production jobs.
I know it*s a lot of who you know, but any advice and information would be great.

It cant be all about who you know - what have productions companies said about your reel? Have you showed it around, what do people think?
