I LOVE EURO AD! In fact, most people see our work and think it*s very European. Shit, my favorite film director is ROBERT BRESSON for crying out loud! Content is good=content is good. If it strikes a chord with us, then swell! Regardless of nudity, profanity, or malicious property damage. We want nothing more than to breach the rules of advertising, and create a unique look and feel for our spots. It really is all about form as an extention of content. Groundbreaking, sick, twisted, unnerving...bring it on. BUT, give me SMART! As directors we*re working in a visual medium, we have to communicate these ideas and concepts in a unique visual manner. The best ads are smart, simple, refined and immediate. They do all of this, and never lose sight of what the brand IS. Its integrity, longevity, or most importantly, it*s identity. And as for budget...Neccessity is NOT the mother of invention...Impossibilty IS!

Hey, any of you kids working at agencies that have dead boards you love, but clients that lack vision enough to know that they*re terrific? I know, I know...the bane of every creatives disdain. Well I*m a commercial/video director repped out of LA that wants to beef up my reel by tagging on another commercial. We*ll pay for the shoot, just looking for some terrific ideas that pop. how do we start the process? where can we see what you*ve done so far? how do we get you scripts?

I remember back in the day when I jumped on such oppertunities and sent off 6 scripts. One NYC Director came back with "uh.. they*re a bit European." so no shooting of them. (there was no nudity, no suicide bombers inside VW or anything like that, I honestly don*t know what he meant by that).



You*re not gonna be like that are you? wink I mean, tell us what you limit is, so we can stick to your budget and taste restrictions aye.
