This is more targeted toward Print Producers, but I am rolling on adreprints.com and would really appreciate any input you guys could give.
The concept is to order reprints from me because the ones from the pub suck and short run indigo prints suck. So I buy a whole press sheet of tasty 100# McCoy velvet paper, print 200 line screen with a 1.5" white border (optional). I Q/C the files, oversee the prepress and press check every run. I*ll have online quotes for quantities of 250, 500 and 1,000. I will have set sizes which are identical to Time Magazines specs for single page and spreads (the white border not included in sizing). I am aiming to keeping the pricing within reason, especially if I can consistently fill a whole press sheet.
I ran DDB Dallas* studio for 5 years, have 14 years of total experience, including as a designer, so I am not a complete meathanded chump.
Any thoughts on this?
