Ha! The loaded gun story! The way I heard that one, It happened at Kirshenbaum NY in the mid-nineties but my memory isn*t what it used ti be so I might be off-base..... wink
Crazy situs happen every day in this biz, and in any given career you*ll find the senior X making junior Y run errands for them - pricks are everywhere not just in advertising. The dumbest *demand* I ever got was a collegue asking "would you sleep with X to get the job?" to which I replied -"Sure, if he puts it in writing... (and then I*ll sue the fool instead, of course)". Like the CD with the gun, don*t take too much crap, it gets in the way of getting the job done.

I*m in my first ad job at a great, creative NY agency. Some of the people who have worked here a while were talking about the worst requests and situations that clients or higher ups at the agency have made of them. Like clients who expect to be taken to strip clubs or an account person who made junior people run her personal errands for her. One person said there*s a famous story about a creative director who got so sick of a client changing the creative that he went into a client meeting and put a loaded gun on the table (no more changes to creative after that!) So I*m wondering if anyone has had outrageous requests made of them or have experienced crazy situations. Let me hear the horror stories so I know what I have gotten myself into. Thanks confused
