funny, I thought that commercial was a myth.
Seems rather odd that two heavy-weight directors would have a hard time finding an advert that one of them actually acted in.
Gajin a go go and other japanese ad collecting sites don*t seem to have it either (see the links and search for japanese.)

I*m looking for a commercial about santori whiskey. This is very, very rare and i doubt anyone has it. It might be japanese, but i could be wrong. it has Francis Ford Coppola and Akira Kurosawa in it. If you have it, please! post! Thanks! rolleyes
Yah, you are probably right, but take comfort in knowing that you are not alone--Sophie Copolla is also on the prowl for that commercial.

Yeah, actually, an interview with her is where i heard about it, and i got curious. wink
