I*ve seen a spate of them in the U.S., and am interested to notice if more astute ad-watchers have noticed others, or have thoughts on why companies do this.

I don*t recall any at the moment, but women athletes may be appearing in non-sports related advertising because their agents may be trying to transition them into another career path. Afterall you can*t be a superstar athlete forever.

Or someone in the agency (or the client even) wanted to have the chance to meet them. rolleyes

If athletes didn*t get funding from advertisers, they might have to turn to pornographers
