Chicago Internships?
Thank you for the info. I have been avoiding looking at the well known agencies, because I didn*t think they would even look at someone as green as myself. Guess it is worth a try though.
BTW, I happen to be a Sears junkie, so maybe I*ll try Y&R first. Will keep you guys updated. Thanks again.

I am currently interning at a New York shop, but will be moving back to Chicago in about a month. Can anyone recommend decent agenies in Chicago that welcome the relatively inexperienced?
(all together now)... DDB? Home of the fabulous Bud Light radio campaign?
Don*t know anything about their internship program, however... Haven*t been there in ages but you may want to try a search through AgencyCompile.com.
someone on adlist suggested this;
You could suggest BBDO (www.bbdo.com). They do some nice stuff, and I hear that they
throw great parties. smile
This is also an excellent resource for Chicago agencies and production houses

Another adlister to the resque, this time it was Tigger who said;
For new chap
Chicago has
Leo Burnett world headquarters 2,000 people
Ogilvy - crazy place, apart from Leo the most international brands in town
DDB - budweiser roster agency, Gatorade, some darn good work
FCB - creative*s a bit ropey
Y&R - see above, you*ll start on Sears probably
JWT - don*t go there - the agency is in freefall and has cut its staff by
80% in two or three years
smaller places include
Kramer Crasselt
Frankel
Element 79 (DDB spinoff)
EuroRCSGTatham
and LBworks (leo burnett spinoff)

G*luck.
