Amsterdam?

Okay, you can also call me Hygge.
Usually the creatives present to the clients, accompanied by an account person. And possibly the CD, but that depends on how senior you are and how difficult (and loaded!) the client is. But most meetings will include the team, one account and the holy client.
And don*t get a job at BBDO, they suck.
And you tell me, dabitch, is Dutch so hard to learn when you*re native danish? Accept for the G of course lol

I´m working as an art director i Copenhagen, but I will soon move to Amsterdam.
What´s the situation with Amsterdam agencies? Chances for emplyment?
Look up http//www.mach1.nl and http//www.hunkydory.nl as soon as you get there - two freelance agencies that send creatives/suits and designers out to agencies when they are short handed ... so thats always good if you can join them.
In other words, Amsterdam is much like the rest of the planet right now. But it never hurts to try. smile

Do visit Y&R, their stationary might turn in collector*s items as they are about to go bankrupt... grin
It will be hard in Amsterdam... all the agencies are firing, not hiring. As TBWA did yesterday they fired 24 people. One would like to say that there*s always room for talent, but these days there might just be room for people who know people. It*s not WHAT you know, it*s WHO you know.
On the other hand... Amsterdam is like Cristiana, just bigger. And the beer will be quite cheap 15 DK.
Do try to get in at DDB, they are the biggest creative agency. And they*re doing quite ok financially.

gee geeeez geh gezl... gezellig! I think I will get the hang of it... confused Well dutch is is not that easy, but I´ll have to learn. A qeustion; Do creative present the campaigns/ideers to the clients in Amsterdam? A friend of mine used to work in London where the creatives never even meet the client.

It depends on the agency - the good ones will naturally let the creatives come to the presentation, the not-so-much-fun ones will not [BBDO for example].
and both the "g" in gezellig have to sound like you have a fly stuck in your throat, like this GchhhchchcezzeliGchhhchchc! Oh sorry, didn*t mean to spit on you , see I need to practice too. lol
