Thanks for replying. I am always amazed how often someone over here knows what the heck I am talking about. Most people just raise their eyebrows in perplexity when I start asking about these things.

The only thing I think I*ve really heard of his was the soundtrack (?) to La Belle et La Bette and I loved that. I guess I need to get more of his stuff. Maybe I will start with the soundtrack to The Hours. smile

My aunt is trying to find out the name of a piece of music composed by Phillip Glass that was in a recent car commercial. She didn*t give me specifics yet but if this sounds familiar let me know.
She said she thinks it*s called "Transformations" or "Metamorphosis" or something.

If it*s a Daewoo car advert the song is "Philip Glass - Confrontation and Rescue (Act II)"
if it*s another car commercial - i*m shocked! Mr Glass usually doesn*t do ads... But a lot of soundtracks [my favorite album? Einstein on the Beach! yum!]
I think he*s licenced music to two-three ads only in his career [but i could be wrong, of course].
