Old ladies with myspace pages - are they for real or shilling something?
We're probably more cynical than most, us ad-damaged peeps who hang around on adlist and the watercooler of unnamed agencies. But when 88 year old ladies have myspaces pages and are hep enough to register their own domain names, we think it might be an ad for something. Sorta like Sue Teller and her fab mashups for the Dew created by 86 the onions. We're talking about Gladys Hardy the loveable lady who brought Ellen and her audience to their knees by quipping "Honey, I love Jesus... but I drink a little." on air.
We're not the only ones wondering, Diane Holloways TV blog asks: Has 'Ellen' been duped by Austin woman?
Glady website is Gladyscalls.com, registered by "Domain Discreet" like any god viral is, and her myspace page is here. Below is her first chat with Ellen.
More gladys inside!
And more Gladys
So if Gladys is selling anything, what could it be? Sassy, right? She's selling sassy. I knew it.
Major hat tip to BrandonBarr, the most cynical adlister of them all. ;)

Didn't you say no more YouTube posts? ;-)
That would be my dream come true. For some reason I can't view them at the office.
Yeah, I really don't like posting youtube stuff cuz adgrunts like areia above (or wait, below) can't see 'em. So when ad people send in their reels, we really want them to actually send in their reels and not some youtube link.
