anti smoking QUIT - lung X-Ray adbin, UK

Oh my god, I'm so grossed out. These helpful little bins allow you to dispose of your cigarette butts there, while doubling as a really gross image that may indeed turn you off from smoking, at least temporarily. See, part of the X-ray image is transparent allowing for the accumilated butts inside to be part of the visual. Apparently this is a new medium called "adbins".

Heinz - Diner Ketchup ad.

Heinz Ketchup. More specifically Heinz hot ketchup. Get it? Sweat. Ketchup. Hot. Do I have to buy you a burger at a vinyl seated diner to demonstrate? ;)

Sharp knives cut perfectly - so it is "the perfect cut". Ambient posters, China.

OMG stunning!

To advertise their sharp knives, the brand name which I can not read (is it "long term"?) and ad agency "invisible", guangzhou cut really intricate motifs in thick paper posters and hung them in appropriate places.

A door God, a few lucky fish and a gorgeous looking vase inside.
Who said Chinese advertising was naive? This is fantastic! I want some!

1979 PIA "New York 16 h 30" WTC Twin Towers plane crashing press ad

I don't really know what to say about this PIA press ad from a bygone era... Except, remember when you could do bold graphic image solutions in advertising without offending anyone? Yeah, neither can I. Here's a dramatic black and white press ad for PIA - Pakistani Airlines - advertising that they fly to New York.

Casino websites paints cows as moo-ving billboards

The caramel coloured chateau casino on the web so good at getting press for nothing has apparently run out of morons.... Sorry foreheads, boobs and other limbs, as they are now painting their domain name on cows in Florida.
As usual the mainstream press that can't bother researching anything these days are hailing their old shit as something groundbreaking and new regurgitating everything straight from the palaces press release.

Just to give you an idea of how old exactly this painting on cows thing is, lets take a trip down moo-memory lane shall we? (read more pals, all the fun begins after the jump)

Print Ad for Nike Soccer gets nationalistic

A somewhat strange Nike soccer ad appears in the November 7th issue of Sports Illustrated. It's full of patriotism, nationalism and attempts to get the point across that soccer is for Americans in time for the World Cup playoffs in Germany.

The Flags: Meet the world.

Icaro Doria, a 25 year young Brazilian who works for the magazine Grande Reportagem in Lisbon via FCB Publicidade (*the ad agency) created this poster campaign of flags together with Luis Silva Dias, Joso Roque and Andrea Vallenti.

The flag-campaign is for Revista Grande Reportagem, and the idea is to 'bring across concept that the magazine offers profound journalism about topics of real importance to the world of today.'
