"MARCH OF THE EMPEROR"

Morning adgrunts, and a happy Friday to you all.
BETC EURO RSCG have been so kind to send us a copy of their epic commercial (it is epic in a way, I promise) "March of the emperor" which I order you to must-see to start the weekend off right.
All super adgrunts, please follow me

This is the season..

This is the season.. to steal good ideas!
In the spirit of things. No pun intended. Leave them letters out.

Maybe Old Navy's Feel Good Fashion feels a little toooo good...

Thanks to an alert friend who prefers to go anonymous this time around, our attention has been turned to a very special Old Navy commercial. In it, a boy gets, well... excited about mowing the lawn, thanks to "Old Navy denim molecules... absorbed by the body, mixing with low price particles in the brain, triggering a sudden, uninhibited feel-good reaction."

Continue to see the triggered, sudden, uninhibited feel-good reaction for yourself.

Milk - where did you get that mustache?

It took me way too many years to find the "original" mustache campaign that I remember from when I was a little kid - found deep down in the dusty archives of the Swedish Arla Milk products company, photos of famous people posing with big white mustaches. Concept ring a [cow]bell?

I love cum

Locum wishes everyone in Sweden a happy (yule) holiday season - with a very dirty ad indeed.

Win the signed KesselsKramer book!

Before the server-crash there was news about the KK book, after the booklaunch party, and where it was sold, like at Kesselskramerforsale.com. Visitors didn't want to buy their own though, they wanted the one I had, because it is signed, well good news kiddo's, I got another book! Signed! And this one has your name on it! Kinda.

Catfight between Miller and AB

Miller Brewing Co. has taken it's competitor, Anheuser-Busch Cos., to court claiming that AB's advertising activities are damaging its sales.

Miller filed a motion for a preliminary injunction Wednesday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin in Milwaukee.

The motion alleges that St. Louis-based Anheuser-Busch, maker of Budweiser, has included in its recent "Unleash the Dawgs" campaign numerous activities that hurt Miller's sales.
Distributors allegedly are placing 3-by-5 stickers on Miller Lite products that contain phrases "Queen of Carbs" and "Owned by South African Breweries," according to the motion.
Miller also provided photos to the court of Miller Lite with stickers that bear the Bud Light logo and say, "All light beers are low in carbs. Choose on Taste."

Adwar between Bills and phonecompanies

The two Swedish telco's 3 and Tele2.Comviq are involved in an adwar. It started with Tele2.Comviqs "We got small bills/Bills" where the concept is that a bill is "Bill", either a big and mean man or small and friendly guy.

The pioneering company in 3G, "3" was little annoyed and did their own campaign: "Little Bill has lied again" and used another little person actor to portray little Bill, this time he spends the entire ad writing on the blackboard "50 öre does not mean 0 krona" a thousand times like Bart in the Simpsons. Tele2.Comviq's claim in the latest little Bill ad is that you can make calls for 0 krona a minute - alas, the small print states that each minute costs 50 öre in startup costs.

I find it really amusing. It is like a homage to the Avis vs Hertz-campaign - a war that created some of the best ads ever made.

I see ghosts - plural!

Here's a dupliclaim I never thought would happen, but I have seen many many ghosts lately.

First spook encounter was in March and later in April when an interview with Jeff Goodby - done by a ghost - was sent out planet wide. This was the mere beginning of Ghost plan of raising unpublished ads up on the pedestal they deserve.
These ghosts later invaded Cannes during the adfest to scream a different kind of booh than usually heard in those parts.

here comes the second ghost.. [read more]
