Arrive Alive - I'M FINE TO DRIVE - ambient, South Africa

The Jupiter Drawing Room in South Africa bring us life sized drunkards in the loo. I dig the girl who's so drunk that she can't tell the difference between the mens room and the ladies'.

McDonald's - Animated Egg Billboard , USA

Wow, what a fun billboard! Leo Burnett Chicago created this huge egg billboard for McDonald's, it only opens up between 6am and 10.30am, the time that eggs are on the menu at McDonalds. Click on the image to get the full transformation (and larger) view.

Quickies press ad 1980 UK

The headline Quickies, the cleansing pads most girls prefer. is as close as the writer got to getting laid methinks. ;)

Ad ran in June 1980 in Over 21 magazine.

A reply to "Hello Boys"

Oh my!
The headline is a slang pun asking "How does my bra fit" but can also be read as "How are you my brother?", giving a nod to the "Hello boys" wonderbra poster. The tagline is "we are all sizes BIG and TALL" which is the name of the store.

Fabergé Fusion Scratch and sniff ad

This ad for the unisex scent "fusion" appeared with a glued on little envelope resembling a packet of cocaine - when opened it reveals a tiny perfume sample and the line: "Fusion. The only thing worth sniffing in clubs."

Pay Gap - women are worth exactly half as much as men.

Demner, Merlicek & Bergmann, Vienna sends us this note with some..uh... notes. Using bank notes in advertising never made this much sense before.

Women are severely discriminated when it comes to their income. The worldwide
avarage income of a woman is still more than 40% less than the avarage income of a
man. Many banknotes with a female portrait are worth 50% less than banknotes with a
male portrait. This perfectly reflects the discriminating situation of women in the
workforce.

Has your third nipple lost its charm? Cannes young lions competition.

King James in Cape Town, South Africa, have amused themselves while making this campaign call for entires for the 2008 South African Young Lions.

Headline on post blatantly stolen from Claymore who once wrote a rejected ad with that line. It's featured in Zeldman's ad graveyard but the image (seen at archive.org) is currently missing.

Lynx spice up posters with Boris Vallejo pinup art

In the USA where Lynx is called Axe, they still seem to be running them surreal ads showing armpits with feet in dating situations. Meanwhile in the UK, the campaign on the same proposition is illustrated with ubercool Boris Vellejos pinup art and point out that all women prefer dry guys. Yup, all of 'em.
