Revels - Au Revoir Coffee - (2008) :30 (UK)

From AMV BBDO London comes this spot for the Revels Eviction (revelseviction.com) campaign. The idea is to get rid of the nation's least favourite Revel, decided by public vote, and replace it with a new mystery flavour. Hence her "Au Revoir Coffee".

RockNRolla opening credits - (2008) :40 (UK)

Prologue Films‘ Danny Yount created the main titles for Guy Ritchie’s upcoming film, RockNRolla. It has som great comic book illustrations from Chris Sanchez combined with grungy fonts and rocking music - the result is hotter than hell. I need to see this movie now. Looks like we have a serious contender for our end of the year best title roundup - last year it was nabbed by Dexter the TV show as you may recall - but if we get more film titles, we'll do a best film title as well. :)

EA Sports - Tiger Woods / Walk on Water - (2008) :30 (USA)

EA sports responds to random youtube video from Levinator25 reporting a glitch in the game with this ad. It's probably all orchestrated via w+k (from glitch to response), but that doesn't mean that it isn't clever.

Grand Cherokee - Opera - (2008) :30 (USA)

Trivia: The featured song borrows from the famous opera, La Boheme. The Italian lyrics were written especially for this commercial and translate to "Woe is not for me. Everyday is a joy. I explore, where the air is clear."

Coca Cola - Young Man - (2008) :90 (Spain)

McCann-Erickson, Madrid has done quite the homage to the baby boom generation, remaking the eighties sound and style to exclaim "CHAVAL" (young man? Lad?) in a generation X Coke anthem. The finale is pure gold.

BBC 1XTRA - "monkey" - (2008) :30 (UK)

Having spent my youth drooling over every inch of "Tank girl", I'm dead exited that Jamie Hewlett did this. It's awesome. It's rawkin' ossom, because it's Jamie's. Screw people who think the opposite, I'm a loyal fan. Nyah! For Audio fans, Damon Albarn did the score. Yes, that adds up to one slice of Gorillaz. How cool are the Beijing Olympics on BBC? Way cooler than anywhere else.
