Scam ads found by adland & pals amuse India

Over at BrandEquity, Economic Times India, Ravi Balakrishnan writes about Four of adland’s scam controversies. There's the Amnesty International ad that Cannes disavowed, the campaign was submitted in march 08 as "after the Olympics to adland. Then there's the really controversial WWF "twin towers" ad (also here9, that DDB Global CEO Chuck Brymer basically apologized to the entire world for. It cause the One Show to ban scam ads for 5 years from entering their award shows.

Then there's Kia Motors ad, which we discovered was created by the same guy as the wwf ad and cause Moma Propaganda to lose 2 Cannes awards.

Brand Equity also notes that we spotted the Samsung campaign that won awards, but was for another agencies clients. Oh dear. Ravi has "No sympathy, though." to those who cheat and then have to hang their heads in shame when caught.
